Mason County Veterans Memorial
LATEST NEWS
We would like you all to know how very grateful...We...of the Veterans Memorial Committee are, as are the hundreds we have heard from over the past two years, for ALL who have contributed, in whatever way YOU have, to this beautiful expression of Love for our Veterans.
We would also like you to be aware of the following:
(1) The final list of names is being worked on and should be out soon. We will create one list and post that for all to view to make it easier to check on your Veteran(s).
(2) We are expecting the rest of the monuments in a few weeks and will place them on their pedestals after they all arrive.
(3) The unveiling of the statue is only four months away (May 27th). Hard to believe it's almost here.
(4) We have been in conversation with those that are making the 2" think black granite panels with the names of over 6000 of our Veterans on them. (We will hold a ceremony Veterans Day of this year to honor them all. btw...Those that are on the Phase I monuments will also be on the wall).
(5) In order to pay for the black granite with our Veterans names we will need your assistance to make this happen. As we have previously stated Phase I has been paid for but Phase II (black granite with names) has not. Please consider a donation of whatever you can afford as everything goes to the memorial and any amount helps toward this worthwhile goal.
You can send, check or money order made payable to:
